Efrain Alphonse & Robert Morrison: Bible Translation Heroes

The first African-American Bible translator, Efrain Alphonse, grew up in Panama while his father worked on the canal.

The Bible was translated into Chinese, amidst great danger, by Robert Morrison and William Milne (1813). Later Joshua Marshman and John Lassar (1822) completed another Chinese translation.
